Our mission is to create better understanding among people, through volunteer service, to make the community (of Smithville Ohio) a better place to live and work. Ruritan is "People Helping People!"

Now that's what I am talking about!
Welcome to our new website, which came online February 2, 2007. We welcome you to learn more about our exciting service organization, our numerous projects, our fundraisers and our great community.
We are celebrating over 41 years of service!
We serve our community through scholarships to Smithville High School Seniors, supporting the Smithville Park and the Smithville Community Historical Society. We are also co-sponsoring S.H.S.'s "Champion of Character Award" in memory of Richard Holmes, retired Superintendent of Green Local Schools and very active member of our Ruritan Club. There are numerous other projects that we do, too numerous to mention in this space.
We work year round on helping improve our environment by "manning" the recycle bins the EVERY SATURDAY! And in the Spring we do the Roadside Cleanup.
